Bergklematis blomstrer i mai og juni med kaskader av rosa blomster. Den vokser kraftig og har et vakkert bladverk. Trives best i sol eller halvskygge, og kan bli 6-7 meter høy. Bergklematis trenger et espalje eller et gjerde å klatre på. Alle klematis trenger jord med rikt mikroliv, så plant den i kugjødselkompost for god vekst.
